Impact of Environmental Geographic toward Point Mutations in Exon 1 of Growth Differentiation Factor (GDF9) Gene in Kosta and Lakor Goat Breeds

This study aims to analyze the impact of environmental biogeography on point mutations in Kosta and Lakor goat breeds as local Indonesian germplasm using GDF9 Exon 1 gene sequence. A total 43 folicle samples goats which collected Serang regency island were analyzed. To isolate genome samples, tissue isolation method was used. The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) used for amplification exon-1 region with two pairs primers. Analysis genetic variation single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) MEGA software version X. Multiple alignment results showed that there are 2 nucleotides have mutations, but not encode different amino acids. indicates mutation has association litter size breeds. finding shows polymorphism i.e SNP g.54C>T is significantly associated size. analysis all from Two (Kosta Lakor) monomorphic. But, although both monomorphic, geographical still contributes drift within between populations.
